Time and time again it has been proven that the substantial majority of delays are due to poor communications and flow-through of data among the participants of the rebar process from design through to concrete placement.
At Condor Rebar Consultants Inc. we take pride in our approach to the management of rebar with clear concise and current information about the rebar process for major construction projects.
We keep all of the major participants, Design Engineering, Rebar Fabricator, Contractor, and Rebar Placer informed about the progress and status of rebar on the project. |

- Condor seeks to eliminate costly project delays and lost man-hours caused by errors, primarily those related to fabrication, placing and scheduling of rebar.
- We maintain a constant flow of information and feedback among all participants in the rebar process from engineer to placer. Our document control system is kept current with the latest drawing changes and RFI’s that is quickly and easily accessed if questions arise from any one of the construction team.
- We reduce detailing errors by employing only experienced professionals and providing them with continuing training. As well, all completed detailing is subjected to quality control checks before being forwarded to the rebar fabricator.
- We have extensive knowledge and experience including field experience working with rebar and offer to assist with the project engineers on constructibility issues.
- For exceptionally complex projects such as the 8 mile (12.9 km.) Confederation Bridge PEI, Canada which utilized 2.5 million pieces of rebar, Condor can supply field consultants to ensure the rebar component of the project gets started with a view to reduce or eliminate costly project errors and project delays.
Since the formation of Condor in 1992, the Company has detailed nearly a million tons of rebar as well as provided thousands of hours of job site consulting related to constructibility and rebar placement. When combined with the detailing background prior to 1992, our staff collectively has over 400 years of combined experience detailing rebar.
